Troubleshooting Tips

  • With whatever player you wish to use, set the file types to MP3 and M3U.  These settings should be present in the configuration for the player.

  • Some players automatically "steal" file types every time they are activated, unless configured otherwise.  Note that Windows Media Player, by default, steals all file types from other players.  Unless you wish to use Windows Media Player on MP3s, turn this feature off.

  • If NO player comes up when you click on a Rainbow Radio Listen link, associate the file types MP3 and M3U with your player application. In Windows, this is found in Explorer->View->Folder Options->File Types.

If you wish to submit a trouble report to Rainbow Radio, check all below that apply.

Player never plays stream
Player spends a lot of time buffering
No player comes up when the play image is clicked
Page or URL NOT FOUND is displayed by browser
